New Delhi, India – India’s Ambassador to the US Sergio Gore has expressed excitement over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s possible return visit to the United States. Gore recently told that President Donald Trump is interested in continuously strengthening his relations with India and in this regard, finalizing trade agreements between the two countries is one of his priorities.
Ambassador Gore said that Prime Minister Modi’s visit to America will further deepen the relations between the two countries. He also informed that Prime Minister Modi recently attended the G20 summit held in Miami and after this there is a possibility that US President Donald Trump will visit India next year.
He informed that US and Indian officials are currently working on an interim trade agreement which covers thousands of items. This agreement will attempt to resolve a number of complex issues surrounding UN General Trade and Regulation. Sergio Gore believes that this agreement will open new possibilities in the economic cooperation of the two countries.
The Ambassador also emphasized that India and America have deep strategic and economic relations, which are progressing keeping in mind the mutual interests of both the countries. He said that Prime Minister Modi’s visit to America and President Trump’s visit to India will prove to be important opportunities for both the countries.
This visit will not only strengthen bilateral relations but will also promote US-India partnership for regional and global stability. The two leaders are expected to discuss several key issues, including trade, security, climate change, and technology cooperation.
Looking at the growing cooperation between the US and India in the 2020s, Sergio Gore believes that the times to come could open up new dimensions of partnership for both the countries. The resolve to continue regular dialogue between Prime Minister Modi and President Trump is a positive sign in this direction.
