Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. A massive fire broke out at a coaching-cum-gaming zone in Aliganj area of Lucknow on Monday afternoon, claiming the lives of at least 12 young students. This incident happened around 3 o’clock, after which 14 fire tenders reached the spot to extinguish the fire and after a lot of effort the fire was brought under control.
According to the information, the investigation as to how the fire started is still going on. Initial reports suggest that several students were forced to jump from the upper floors of the building, resulting in a number of injuries. It is being told that the fire was so strong that the people trapped inside could not come out.
The local administration and police immediately reached the spot, the injured students have been admitted to a nearby hospital where they are undergoing treatment. The number of dead is said to be 12, but there is still a possibility of the death toll increasing. Neighbors and nearby people are also deeply shocked by this incident. Many people were seen running and trying to save the students after seeing the terrible flames. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep regret over this tragic incident and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased students. He also thanked the officials engaged in relief and rescue operations.
The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and other senior officials have also visited the incident site to take stock of the situation. The government has assured to provide all possible assistance to the injured.
