Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh. The tension that erupted between the Nihang group and the police on the border of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on Friday morning was successfully resolved. The Nihanga group had fought by crossing the police barricades while moving towards Hemkund Sahib in the border area, after which tension spread in the area.

Official sources said that after peaceful talks, the Nihang group decided to suspend their agitation. As a result of this treaty, the increasing tension on the border ended and the local administration also withdrew the security forces from the affected areas.

Local officials said that it is better to resolve such disputes through talks, so that any untoward incident can be avoided. He also appealed to the Nihang community to maintain peace by respecting all legal procedures.

According to experts, this incident reflects the challenge of striking a balance between religion and law, where all parties have to behave with sensitivity.

From this incident it becomes clear that without dialogue and mutual understanding, no dispute can be resolved. Keeping in mind the regional peace and security, the administration is continuously trying to resolve such cases soon.
